Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Bellbox products, including the web applications, mobile applications, and APIs (collectively "Services") provided by Bellbox Technologies Private Limited ("Bellbox", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the Services you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you are accepting on behalf of a school or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Student accounts for minors are created by the school administration with verified parental or guardian consent as required under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 ("DPDP Act"). Bellbox does not knowingly collect personal data from children without such consent.

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials.
• Each school is an independent tenant. Your data is strictly isolated from other schools using the platform.
• SSO configurations (Microsoft Entra, Google Workspace, Okta, SAML/OIDC) are managed by the school administrator and are the responsibility of the school.
• You must notify us immediately at security@bellbox.co.in of any unauthorised access.

You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and you must not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or data.
• Upload malware, spam, or illegal content.
• Use the Services to violate the privacy of students, parents, or staff.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell any part of the Services.
• Process personal data of students outside India in violation of the DPDP Act 2023.

Bellbox offers subscription plans billed monthly or annually in Indian Rupees (INR). Payments are processed via Razorpay or PhonePe and are subject to their terms.

• All fees are exclusive of applicable GST, which will be added at the prevailing rate.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 7 days before the renewal date.
• Refunds are issued at our discretion within 7 days of payment for annual plans. No refunds are issued for monthly plans.
• UPI AutoPay mandates may be cancelled at any time through your bank or the Bellbox dashboard.

Your use of personal data within the Services is governed by our Privacy Policy. As a school or institution, you are the Data Fiduciary under the DPDP Act 2023 and Bellbox acts as a Data Processor on your behalf.

• All data is stored in India (AWS ap-south-1, Mumbai).
• Sensitive fields (Aadhaar, bank details) are envelope-encrypted at rest.
• You may request data export or erasure at any time via the Admin dashboard or by writing to dpo@bellbox.co.in.

Bellbox and its licensors own all rights in the Services, including the software, design, and content. You retain ownership of all data you upload. You grant Bellbox a limited licence to process your data solely to provide the Services.

"Bellbox", the bell mark logo, and associated branding are trademarks of Bellbox Technologies Private Limited.

We target 99.9% monthly uptime. Planned maintenance is communicated at least 24 hours in advance. We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party services (payment gateways, SSO providers, cloud infrastructure), force majeure, or misuse.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bellbox's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Services shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

You may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay fees, or if we are required to do so by law. Upon termination, your data is retained for 90 days and then deleted, unless a longer retention is required by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify school administrators via email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
